Conestoga College Doon Campus Visit | Everything about Course Change in Canada | Personal Experience

Did your agent tell you that you can change your course at the same college once you arrive in Canada? Well, it's not as straightforward as it may seem.

To put it simply, it doesn't work that way; you can't just arrive here and ask your college to change your course. Colleges have become more aware that some students choose any course just to come to Canada, and then they create complications for the college before updating the embassy about the change.

So, in my opinion, the best approach is to select the course you genuinely want to pursue and then apply for it. Build your profile in a way that increases your chances of being accepted for that specific course, which should also align with your academic interests.

Changing courses is no longer a viable option. Even if it's possible, it's a waste of both money and time. In most cases, you'll lose one semester's worth of fees and about four months if you change your course at the same college. If you decide to switch colleges, you'll need to withdraw from your current course and hope for a refund of your first semester's fees with minimal penalties, only to start the entire college selection process again.

So, my advice is not to fall for this idea. It's probably the best advice you can receive.
