That Persian accent calmed me down. My pediatrician immigrated from Persian saw my older sibling for a decade then I was born and she took care of my eyes and my spine and my heart and my severe mental health problems I had when I was a small child. She was my doctor for as long as I can remember. There’s so much love in Iranians, i love how little everything we know about preventing health issues and everything mattered in comparison to the age old adages and common sense from a woman who lived through just about everything. Where I live Persians are hit or miss. Some are very kind and respectful, but others are very rude and have hot tempers. But that's the same for literally every culture.

I’m 50% Persian, literally everyone who meets me and asks me, what’s your family background I say my Dad is American but he is 50% Polish, 25% British and 25% French. But when I say, and my mom is from Iran, the person that asks me the question is like really! That’s so cool! Have you ever been to Iran? What is the morality police like? Remember, us Iranians aren’t the same as the government. The Iranian protests right now is tragic. But
When I tell my friends I’m Persian they say “And which country is that?, is it Persia?”
And that’s why I never tell them the country cause then they will say “you ran?!”
