GG2020 Movelist Wishlist

This here is a video meant for the developers' eyes over at TEAM RED and ARC System Works.

Basically it's a list of suggestions for them when working on the next Guilty Gear coming in 2020!

I might not necessarily get the opportunity to play the Closed Beta like other people at ARCRevo, but I want to contribute my thoughts as much as possible!

An old idea I had was returning classic IK's as 100 tension Overdrives (Maybe just for boss-mode characters, they were seriously lacking in Xrd), like Sol could use the Napalm Death kick as an overdrive, or Anji's Dragon ride Zetsu, Millia's homing Iron maiden, or Even non IK powerfull attacks like Aces High, DI Sakkai or Megalomania (Or Mega ROMANIA as AC+R calls it...)
I really think EX characters should return but in a more Blazblue Unlimited characters kinda way is what i'm saying, go batshit crazy with boss mode, that's the whole point of bosses in fightning games!

My personal opnions:

Sol:
Gunblaze NEEDS to return. I think the clean hit mechanic could be used in a similiar way as Ky's new stun edge debuffs, like clean hits temporally increase RISK gauge ON HIT or sol's damage for a few frames. it seems status mid-fights will no longer be restricted to MOM and I like that idea

Ky:
I desperatelly wanted Lightning javelin back, but seeing how the stage transition mechanic seems linked to wallstick/bounce, i'm no longer sure if it's really needed... And his durandall call was replaced by the RISK effect, i think, it's like a natural evolution on Ky, instead of placing grinders on stage to increase his lightning, he places the increment in the oppontent themselves (i'll elaborate on that once the game comes out and i can make my movelist evolution videos)

Zato: Dark Sentinal IS WAY TO DAMN COOL WHY DID IT GO AWAY AMORPHOUS AIN'T HALF AS HYPE but either way i don't know much about puppeeteers so i can't say much

Potemkin: The thing about potemkin is he's a grappler with only one grapple... I mean it works for everything so it's good but i'd like to see aerial buster back or a grounded throw super (Infernal Potemkin Buster or something) i guess. Separating Gigantic Bid and Giganter Bullet is great, since then aerial Giganter can return

Testament: I wonder how his traps will work with the transition mechanic... Maybe he'll be more focused on midscreen combos than corner, as to not throw them away from your setwork, or maybe they'll just transition along (tho i doubt it).

Bridget: All i ask for is for my boy to get a better IK, Shoot the moon doens't make him justice, specially considering how cool his OD's are. And again, i wonder how his setplay would work...

Baiken: Please just bring attacks coming out on blockstun back i'm begging you Arcsys...

Izuna: Him being playable would make me happy enough

Venom: I'm all for the five balls coming back, but having Tactical Arch AND Bishop Runout is a tremendously bad idea, one of them has to go... Actually, the setplay problem comes back once again with him...

Slayer: Danger time is sadly gone, so Slayer is officially worst tier... unless they made Danger Time EXCLUSIVE to him!... Okay that's a bad idea, but either way Royal Hunt and Big Bang Upper are way to stylish not to return (to they kinda have the same effect, having both could be redundant, maybe turning BBU into a DP, tho i don't think Slayer needs one)

My big problem right now is not being able to play because i live like half a world from where the event is taking place, but i can still talk on the internet based on what i see, at least.

I do agree with most of this! I am just hoping that Jam makes it back. (Or in that fact, everyone from XX, GG2, and Xrd, plus Fanny.)

Sorry for also asking this but mind if you help me out with something? I am thinking of doing a video where I talk about what if Sol and Ragna would be like in Smash and I want to ask if you can give me footage of Sol’s and Ragna’s moves through out both of the series. Only if you want, it is just a suggestion.
