Daily Devo | Jesus and Jonah (Matthew 8:23-27)

There are many parallels between Jesus and Jonah in this passage -- both are asleep in a boat when the storm comes, both are awakened by people terrified of the storm, and each says something that leads to the calming of the wind and waves. As interesting as the similarities are, it's the differences that are truly significant, and those differences reveal more of Jesus' unique authority and love for all, including spiritual outsiders.
