Hi, thanks for the review. I am a OM shooter, but bought this XE-4 for everyday street shooting. To be honest, it is brilliant. I love the fact there are not too many buttons. You can program all and for photo shooting there is available all you need. Many people say it is a entry level camera. I totally disagree. You use this camera totally in manual mode and believe me, unless you understand photography you will find it hard. So definitely NOT an entry level camera. It is fully worth buying.

I was waiting for Fujifilm to produce a gripless camera for so long. why would anyone complain that it misses grips/rests when Fujifilm already has lots of such cameras

Interesting notion about preferring the EVF in the middle as a left eye shooter. Being a left eye shooter myself I am the opposite and by far prefer the EVF to the left, because on camera's where it is in the middle my face gets in the way of the buttons.

With a neckstrap and one of the f2 or f2.8 Fujicrons it‘s just the perfect everyday walkaround camera. I also love its looks and it is more fun to shoot than the Sonys imho. Include IBIS, get the AF to Sony levels and I am even happier. Love it.

I have chosen the X-E4 as a pocketable high quality walk- around camera, for holidays or in town, when I don't want to lug around my bulky DSLR.

Thanks Dave, your review of the X-E4 seems to be typical, nice camera but.... . It was lovely to see Evelyn and a growing Ivy doing baby stuff. I am torn between updating my x100f to a V, or sell my X-E3 and get what started out being an xPro2 to an XT2, or 3! Hell I don't know it's all too confusing. :-)

Enjoyed your assessment and the banter with Evelyn. Amusing how some folks think the E4 should be compared to the XS10 and others want to compare it to the X100V...really it doesn't matter. No single camera does it all for anyone or for everyone...if it did "there would be only one".

That said, the E4 wouldn't work for me. The XT4 and X100V work as a nice combo for me...and of course while I would love to add the XS10, I don't NEED it...lol.

I LOVE mine. I put a Lensmate LM-XE3 Thumbrest and a FlipBac G4 stick on grip on it and it's perfect!

You appear to believe that the viewfinder being "dead in the centre" is a positive for the X-S10 when many people get the X-E and Pro exactly because the EVF is not in the centre. If I wanted a central EVF I'd use an X-T or my dSLR! You also missed the point about the difference between the LCD flip out screens because again YOU prefer the one on the X-S10.
