Variations were cool, kameos are cool, everyone should just play the game and see how it develops for year 2

The difference between mk1 and the games you mentioned is that they're a more complete package. The mechanics add to the the game, with mk most characters don't work without a cameo and the cameo system got figured out super fast, so most people are only playing the top tier cameo's. Also unlike Tekken 7, Tekken 8 didn't go to arcades first. By the time Tekken 7 came out on consoles it was a way different game than when it hit arcades. So Tekken 8 will only keep improving

Only thing is everyone hates kameos
Half the players hate it a quarter likes it and the other quarter is just fine with it
They are boring and make combat feel repetitive and spammy instead of making the main characters kits great them made them subpar and rely of kameos
Id love the kameo system if it was a separate game mode and you could still fight without them but you cant the game completely relys on having a good kameo and the kameo meta is so scuffed some of them are completely weak and useless which makes the meta completely stale while in past mortal kombat games you could pick any character and still do really well
Now half your fights your going into a serrana spammer or one of the other few viable kameos
I didn’t really mind it at first but it got boring after awhile so i ultimately dont play the game as much

Yeah absolutely! If it was the same game again and again that what’s the point of doing any more games?? It’s something I wish people would be open to, change is great!

Some people just like to cherry pick and hate for the sake of hating. If you dont like the game then dont play it 😂 very simple. You always see them in the comments saying the game sucks or kameos suck, why are you even here? Go play something else then. I personally love the game, for me it's so fun to play and watch

The mkx variation system was good because each variation felt like a different character but the mk11 one made characters feel so restricted. And I feel like all mk1 characters should be good enough to play without a cameo and just have them as an added bonus

The only problem I have with the game is that every character feels incomplete so kameos have a purpose. In my opinion every character should have a total moveset while kameos should serve to enhance the moveset and allow for interesting combo variations.

I'm hoping there's more depth and ability to build combos in the next game but i'm still playing mk1 in the meantime

Who else misses mortal kombat deception and Armageddon? When you could move around the arena and knock people into stuff?

Alot of people don't seem to think about maybe the dev team haven't made a final decision on their character's new rolls in the new time line how they look or even if they have the same roll or you know they might just want to save them for the next game instead of pumping them out or giving new characters a chance,
What ever it is im just happy there not stagnating

A new game requires new features what would be the point to make a new game if the game just has the same features as the previous game?

MK 1 has the best gameplay to me, it’s just year 1, can’t wait for the second

Agreed! I do love mk1 GAMEPLAY. I just dislike the soul of it. I hate that they promised multiple outros and intros and still haven’t delivered, my opinion as well but two dialogues for characters isn’t enough we got some sick lore from mk11 intros and half the time the responses don’t even feel right? I think everyone agrees generally that the skins got worse from 11 perfect example KILLER CROC BARAKA. And the brutalities just feel so MEH. Like I remember getting that grab robocop brutal done on me first time ever and I was like SHEESH not only does it show a brutal but a shoutout to the movie, now all the brutals feel the same IMO and have WAY less flash most just require a limbo input not even animated after the fact. If they can get those things taken care of they’d be solid and I think so many people would be supportive again!

I research every game before I buy a new game. If I didn't think that I will enjoy the new game, then I just didn't buy it & continue with the older game. MK 11 or Armageddon over MK1 Honestly is how I feel right now, but, things change
