I think some infighting is happening right now within the Big 10 due to the teams taken from the former PAC 12. I also believe there will be some internal fighting with the SEC once Texas and Oklahoma enter and starts exerting their influence.

Uh...no one has a guaranteed bid...its the 6 highest ranked conference champions that are automatically slated, but based on the recent weakness of the pac that could have always been the MWC and AAC...

BYU fan here. When the ACC implodes, I would recommend the following schools for Big 12 Expansion: Phase I: Georgia Tech, Duke, Louisville, Penn State; Phase II: Pitt, Memphis, Coastal Carolina, and Kentucky. The Big 12 would then have 24 members in the league with twelve member schools on either side of the Mississippi River.

U of H and Oklahoma State would be good rival. SMU and TCU are great rivals and very enjoyable. I guess when TCU stole Sunny Dikes that was the last straw. But wouldn’t that an even better rival. Ditto for UofH and Baylor, UofH and TAMU, UofH and Texas, etc.
