For normal people like me, I got a 1000w hub motor folding mountain bike with a 20ah battery for £770.00 on AliExpress. Took 2 months to turn up. Top speed “actually checked” 34mph and about 20 miles of range 👍

Suggestion for the forthcoming affordable ebikes video: the Kuma M1 from Dublin based Kuma Bikes. Quality package including a mid mounted 80Nm motor, 500Whr removable battery integrated into the frame, Gates carbon belt drive and Enviolo Trekking hub gearing all for around £2.5k which is unbelievable value. And, for UK riders in 2022, it’s actually available - unlike many bikes…😆

Started ebike life with a VanMoof S3 which was not decent. Moved over to a Specialized Turbo Levo and never looked back. Much better quality. Now just need a scooter for commuting 😊

I bought a 1000w/16AH fat tyre workhorse that looks kinda like a super73 from China. Added some extras like supplementary visibility lights, hi-vis jackets, a boot-bag, 2 foldable pannier baskets and an ABUS Bordo 6000k landed around 1200GBP. Speed restricted to 30mph (who wants more on the bike that don't have a deathwish anyway), but i do need the power coz my area is really hilly and with some steeps that im barely willing to climb by foot....
