Doubles as a laser pointer for cats, just don't let your neighbors see you doing that

It gets you pretty close and then you go to the range shoot your three shots (which WILL be on paper) and you're done.

Had one that i used for my rifle but later lost it. Definitely a grest purchase, just dont lose the little bastards lol

Works much better for pistol red dots than rifles. It will get you on paper with a rifle, but then some fine tuning is needed. An RMR (or other pistol red dot) with can be sighted in with just one of these.

Best to rotate the bore sight to confirm zero

DONT FORGET : DO NOT ADJUST RETICLE TO WHERE ROUND HITS, ADJUST ROUND TO RETICLE…. ie- If you’re Shot is landing BELOW & LEFT of Reticle, adjust Elevation Up & Windage Right. Hope that helps!

Literally cant mess up zeroing this time because you’re literally just aligning the dot to the actual trajectory of the barrel. Wish I’d seen this sooner. Would’ve saved lots of time

I don’t usually like videos, but this was brilliant

It's reasonably effective. Zeroing is a constant process that you should be doing basically every time you plink unless you're 100% sure it's perfect. Laser boresighter isn't very accurate (they tend to be wildly out of spec and can get stuck if you let the slide/bolt come down on it, but it's good enough to where you'll hit the target at 5 yards, pretty much guaranteed. It then makes the fine adjustments take less time.

The kind that you put down the muzzle that sorts looks like a tulip is better. The kind that sit in the chamber like this can wiggle around in the chamber just enough so that after you are done sighting in the scope if you take the laser out and put it back in it the red dot will be in another place. The tulip looking bore sights have a expanding plastic nut that holds the bore sight real tight in the barrel not the chamber, and it's repeatable.

Just gotta make sure the laser is accurately pointing straight, because they don't come accurate from the factory. It needs to be calibrated first, so calibrated in a sighted gun, then you can use it to replicate sighting for all the following guns in the same caliber

Bought two for 5.56 and I was as gentle as I could with them. Both did the same thing, died within 3 minutes. Replaced the batteries, and again died at around 3 minutes. The second I bought was just in case the first was defective but it did the exact same thing. Both also zeroed differently. IF they didn’t die so quick they would be okay to help zero, but I’m better off just removing the bcg and looking down the barrel

Only a starting point. Always confirm and adjust if needed with your carry/duty ammunition

I can get within 1 moa on any AR within 4 shots.

Unless you want to bench sight it it. If you can smack a paper plate at 100yds consistently you will def be good until you need glass to identify targets.

I used this on my mck setup with my g2c. My red dot was sighted high, but i didnt want to blow ammo trying to adjust it at the range. I picked one of these up off Amazon for like 10 bucks and it worked like a charm. I keep it in my ammo box so i dont lose it.

It gets it close but in case physics is not your thing, bullets don't fly as straight as a laser.
