Brett, I wrote you about Dak's innacuracy/read issues not long ago--I should have known you were already all over it. More importantly... After years of being routinely disrespected, people are beginning to realize how good Romo was. From 08 through 2013, Romo was DREAMING of a roster as good as the Cowboys have now (especially on defense). He kept them competitive through a whole era of horrendous coaching, play-calling and team-building, doing it with mediocre to poor o-lines, a struggling running game, and mainly bottom tier defense. He made Miles Austin and Terrence Williams dangerous, let alone Dez & Witten. I'm not even a Cowboys fan, but Romo was all class and damn them for the way they treated their best player. They're getting what they deserve.

I knew this day would come...and I honestly feel bad for Dak. Good man, and you can win games with him under the right conditions. The hype train put him in a class where he never belonged, and now everyone is seeing the truth and the same media & stans will now turn on him. He cannot carry an offense. There aren't a lot of guys who can.

I still can't stop thinking of the Cowboys as the old Cowboys, where you had Tony Romo's connection with Witten and Bryant, and Murray running all over the field behind the second coming of the Wall of Dallas. Zeke is obviously in the elite group of running backs, but Dak Prescott is obviously not, their receivers and tight ends are lacking right now, and their O-Line is injured and aging.
