I'm still skeptical. But I'm leaning that way. The adoption rate needs to be at least 100X higher in my estimation. People need to use it as money. Big institutions have to stop holding huge amounts out of circulation. Money only works when it is moving.

I'm running a full node. That takes less power than a light bulb. Less than 40W to be specific. I'm not setup for mining yet. Electricity in my area is kind of expensive and so are ASICS. That said, something that is low power enough that I can plug into my UPS would be awesome. What are you using that you showed?

i doubt that bitcoin will be the next reserve currency, as it is too volatile. or, do you think it will become less volatile if it is accepted as a reserve currency?

When he says that he is not referring to the currency being used for everyone to trade with. A world reserve currency is referring to a currency with which countries are forced to use to trade with each other because the country that provides the most services and products uses and accepts only a certain currency.

I don't think that they'll choose Bitcoin because is de-centralised, which opposes the principle of the global trading market, which has a centralised modulus of operation. Meaning, that the global trade leader uses a currency and the countries that trade with it must use the currency of the central trading leader.

Bitcoin = de-centralised

Global trading market = centralised
