In this MATLAB basics tutorial video we are going to look at the basics of reading data from text (or ASCII) files and plotting the data in Matlab. This video is also a general intro to the basic Matlab UI.

The example used is the longitudinal dynamics of an experimental fighter plane. The following variables as functions of time are collected during a test flight :
Time in seconds
Elevator deflection
Forward airspeed
Angle of attack
Pitch rate
Pitch angle
We read the text file that has the above data vectors and plot them as functions of time
