Doctors need to stop telling people chair for life, never walk, never drive, never swallow etc.. Those were all things they said to me. I said, “hold my beer watch this”…. They were wrong!

My son had the same type of stroke. His left carotid artery tore playing Roller Hockey. Too much time passed to used clot-busters. His damaged area is similar in size to yours. His physical recovery has been incredible. His biggest on going challenges are severe aphasia and using his right hand.
I love your determination and your hard work really shows!

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm 10 months in. my leg is coming back well. But I still walk on a cane meanwhile. My arm is coming back, I can do biceps curls with light weights, did bodybuilding before the stroke, so it is very sad for me.

Thank you for sharing your story. Your story has given me more hope recovering from my stroke. I also found medical and some medical therapists are a bit bleak with the big picture. Again, thank you.

Thanks very much for sharing. I had stroke on th 16 of September 2023
It affected my left. My BP went super high. Before that I already had a left weak leg which had weak muscle so after the stroke balancing has been very challenging. But I'm working towards it. Stuck at home as someone who feeds a family of 6 is very hard with everyone telling me not to think though I'm doing my best not to
I wish there could be some sort of assistance.
I'm counting on good life after this
Thanks

A friend of mine just had a severe stroke. Your video is such a help, to get an insight into the process and see someone who surpassed expectations. He is currently paralysed on both sides of his body. If you have any advice to pass on to him, please do comment it! All the best, nothing but respect for ya.

great video mate, I'm watching this because I had a stroke due to a blood clot about 2 and a half months ago.
However I was very lucky, my speech was slurred but only for a couple of mins and my left hand wouldn't work.
I've made about a 95 percent recovery.
Lingering affects are massive amounts of fatigue all the time and sometimes a bit slow in the mind.
They found a pfo for me, which is suspected to be the culprit of letting a clot through to my brain.
They will close the pfo in the next couple of months.
PTSD was really bad for a about a week after thr stroke too, I thought I was going to fet hit by another one!
