Book of Boba Fett deserved better writing to be honest after it did Temuerra Morrison dirty by Disney.

The issue is the writing. So much of the new stuff has incredible potential that just isn't tapped into or developed. If you'd told me ten years ago that a show about Boba Fett and Mulan building a crime syndicate, I would have thought there was no way that could be boring, but that's exactly what it was.

I think the Boba Fett that everyone wanted and expected was the Boba we saw in Mando Season 2.
His movements, lines, fight scenes were epic.
This is NOT the Boba we got in the BOBF, and I think that’s why a lot of people were upset.

The parts of Boba where he was interacting with the sand people and trying to make his way back to the world were the most interesting parts of the show for me, I liked the tone of those scenes much more than I did any other part of the show.

I was so excited from the book of boba trailers that it'd be more like a star wars godfather style series, focusing on complex relations between different syndicates and power plays between them and galactic powers. instead I got to see Boba get beat up and make friends with every random useless reject he could find, then fennec would actually kick ass and was literally all his actual power.

I'd like to see them take another crack at a Boba Fett show, but it needs a completely different creative team.

I actually quite liked the opening arc with his time growing with the sand people and deciding he no longer wanted to be a loner. But you’re absolutely right: there wasn’t enough payoff. After the flashbacks, not much time was devoted to him, so it felt more like the first few episodes were a conclusion to his story instead of the setup.

Honestly thought the show was going in a "Dune" like plot with Boba Fett helping unify the Sand People to conquer tatootine and was playing cards close to his chest, but quickly made that clear that was not happening.

I really thought they dropped the ball with having Grogu return to Din in BoBF. They could have expanded on the crime syndicates (maybe off Tatooine) and having Boba DOMINATE the underworld. They could have held off the payoff of Grogu and Din reuniting until Mando S3 and let Boba shine in his spinoff more.

the book of boba felt like three different shows boba's time with tusken's, boba as a gangster, and mando season 2.5. the mando and tusken stuff was really excellent star wars imo. i loved seeing what they did with boba and the tuskens. the issue is that the main story of the show, boba's present as a crime boss was pretty mid. which is a bummer as it was the part of the show that was marketed and what I was most excited for. I wanted a star wars crime/underworld show with no lightsabers. It just felt really half-baked.

Boba felt not like a bounty hunter, but an overprotective dad trying to show a heroes morality. It came off feeling out of character and preachy and to safe. Dude wasn't a badass, he was a overreaching gym but that would giving gym teachers a bad rep.

Its crazy that with all the screen time Mando ate up in Book of Boba that Boba wasn't even mentioned in Mando season 3 lmao, like surely Din would've called Boba and at least ask if he was interested in helping them out with Mandalore?

Book of Bobafett could have done without the Vespa squad.

Star Wars is supposed to look Cool. The Vespa squad and their rides looked grossly out of place, especially given it was Tatooine, let alone Mos Eisly.

I kinda got the feeling Boba couldn't care less about mandalore. Hes got his own thing going on, and really doesnt seem that invested in "being mandalorian" in the same way as the mandalorian's in The Mandalorian, if that makes sense.

My main problem with Book of Boba Fett, is I had zero desire to see him in his underwear, letalone see him in his underwear for half the series.
