First Impressions (Offline/Arcade) – Gran Turismo Sport

Hey guys,
Apparently it takes over an hour to download all the things needed for Gran Turismo with the disc so I made this video to show you guys the load screen, intro video and some arcade offline gameplay.

Bought this game today and I’m returning it tomorrow. Big mistake, I don’t have internet so I can’t update the game and I won’t use 7 cars offline, if all tracks and cars were unlocked in offline arcade I’d keep the game but this is absurd. Lost my respect for Gran Turismo. It always had a balance of pleasing pros and casuals but this time they went full elitist pro online only. Forza literally offers you 700 cars with tons to do offline.

My PS4 500gb console ran out of storage space. I ordered a 2TB External Hard Drive. The disc has installed onto my PS4 Internal Hard Drive. If I install the Network update on the External Hard Drive when I get it, will it install the network features on the actual game installed on the consoles Hard Drive?

Why are so many of the cars payed dlc? I have not played the game, I am just looking at the store page for it and there are so many cars you pay for.

What’s that auto braking all about it’s more than annoying, this game had already had it’s balls cut off & then this. It’s like a road safety edition of GT.

When I play it, it only gives me like six cars, and the whole game downloaded

i just confused. I just bought Gt sports cd. My question is.. is there 2 version of cd? Online version and offline version? because I bought online version cd which is I can't explore to play or buy cars and licence test etc

Polyphony has a bad habit of leaving us very few cars in Arcade Mode, ever since GT5 and GT6. I mean, we already have the ability to use our Garage cars as an option (which means we get the added benefit of using our own custom cars that we have bought/acquired throughout the game).

But only very few cars as rental cars? Polyphony should consider three options for GT7:

1. Put every existing car in the game as a rental/courtesy car in Arcade Mode where we can drive it right away in its most basic form (only basic car-specific colors/liveries from the color selection can be used), any choice of tires, and whatever setup tuning is possible when stock. Credits, XP, Mileage Points and Daily Workout progress will not be earned driving those cars, as opposed to driving those from your Garage. DLC cars will get added to Arcade Mode immediately, besides either Brand Central or the Used Car dealers.

2. Make an Arcade Mode where besides retaining the option to use cars from our Garage, we start off with a decent amount of cars in the game, but we need to go on and unlock all the rest (from the base game) through playing the Arcade Mode itself (where it should have racing and time trial challenges, similar to Gran Turismo 3). Eventually, upon completing them all, we eventually have access to all the cars in the game for use in Arcade Mode. Just like as stated earlier, you can only use car-specific colors, perform car-specific setup tuning wherever possible, and that Credits, Mileage Points, XP and Daily Workout progress won't be earned driving them. DLC cars through updates/expansions will get added immediately, however.

3. Similar to option 2, but in a way like it's just like Gran Turismo 4, where you have to obtain cars from the GT Simulation Mode to unlock them for use in Arcade Mode.

So...from the comments I've gathered that I just need to update the game once and I can pretty much get the cars and tracks in offline mode...is that correct?
