What Happened To The SSX Games? | The Past and Future Of...

It’s been nearly a decade since the last SSX game, and there’s been almost no indication at all from EA that a new one is coming. With spiritual successors and imitators emerging over the years, it’s also worth considering if there would even be a place for SSX in the gaming landscape if it did make a comeback. Today, we’re asking the question: will we ever see a new SSX game?

I want a new SSX game so bad. I really liked the 2012 version tbh it was one of my favorite games at the time.

EA is literally leaving so much money on the table if the just remastered SSX tricky and SSX3 they would get so much money also if they remastered NBA Street vol 2 they could easily knock nba 2k off the top of the basketball gaming charts and bring in a lot of cash

Even though I don't like Activision, they at least make some remakes like Spyro, Crash and Tony Hawk. Now I hope EA start doing more remakes, I'm praying for good Dead Space remake (we will see how is doing hopefully soon), love that game and sequel, so maybe we get SSX remake, just not live service.

If you unlocked the characters backstorys from ssx 3 and really listen to what dj atomika has to say about each character you could really see the potential of how this game could EASILY out sale games like riders republic in 2024-whenever 😂 . First: The diversity! the actors chosen for the roles actually spoke the language of the characters like JP, kaori, Marisol, Viggo. It won't even be a "forced" thing to re introduce them!

Second: I'd love it if they gave us the competition of ssx on tour. the personalities of ssx tricky and ssx 3 (Mcom included)😂. the amount of drops in SSX 2012 I'd be happy

Third: the full playlist from ssx tricky, ssx 3, and the option for your own playlist like ssx 2012 that will distort like a song IN GAME. (That feature was dope)

Personally I’d be happy with a remastered version on new cancels right now, but would love a new SSX game that provided an online component mixed with the open world feel that SSX 3 has.

I wouldn’t care about the micro transactions, so long as they keep to cosmetic and not pay to win or something outlandish. A good example is what Fortnite does. You can play for free online, but just have to buy a battle pass or stuff in the shop if you want cool outfits or skins.

ssx3 is the best one imo, other ssx game that come after just don’t hit , the designs and all kinda lost it’s passion imo
