Jazz from Gallus Hall (Ljubljana, Slovenia) series. Ljubljana Academy of Music Big Band plays best swing music. This group of best slovenian young musicians did perform cuban an carribean music in 2013. Now they perfom jazz amazing music from world musical, swing in jazz herritage. They play stunningly under the baton of Matej Hotko, charismatic leader and professor of Academy Jazz department dr. Jaka Pucihar. Energy of this group is just amazing.

This group has some very interesting people in it. The pianist looks like someone you'd see in the library, not jazzing with a hot big band, and the drummer looks like he's got loose screws in his head, not to mention the lead trumpet looks like a lopsided cartoon character. BUT, for all the oddness of the cast of characters, it's hard to find a performance that sounds half this good anywhere, and the fact that these are mostly classical musicians having fun makes it all the more impressive. Well done to all involved, and thank you for bringing this to us. Best wishes on the resumption of performances!
