Haul videos can be DANGEROUS to your wallet!

I'm a firm believer in settling a cap on what you're going to spend. Garage sales or thrift stores or even a flea market can be fun . You know what they say, one man's junk is another man's treasure...lol. I would take cash to help stay within budget. I think some of these hauls are a little sneaky in they may be using someone else's money . I enjoy your videos take care. 😊

They work for the companies, and get paid for the hauls/driving business to the stores/online!.

Or they buy, review items on chanell, and get the views, which equals money and return items for refund!😂

They call them "Influencers" for a reason. They command niche little "spending armies". No wonder most of them get so much free stuff from the various dollar store companies. I have a similar issue with guitar/studio gear. So many reviewers out there now it's hard to not encounter a demonstration of an effect unit or amplifier that they make sound good. Before I know it I'm up on reverb or ebay seeking the item. LOL. Monkey see, monkey do. That's humanity in a nutshell! :)

Yeah they really get you at it don't they. Times I've really got sucked in. Love Pixie, they certainly can make you go broke. I've forced myself to stop watching QVC. So easy to phone and order, I feel really good when I've ordered but when it comes I'm like shit what is wrong with me. You look fabulous by the way. All the best xxx

Hello from England! I feel that so many people who shop and shop until they drop are compensating, what are they missing in their lives? 🙂 When I lived in the US I had a neighbour who would go out and buy a toaster, curtains and so on just because they were on sale, had no need for them. Crazy!

I appreciate your views and particularly liked your previous video on click bait. I couldn't agree more than with these two newest videos of yours. In the last few months I have unsubscribed from all channels that use click bait in their titles and all channels that have turned into sales pitches/hauls. With clickbait I was angry because time is precious and if I have to listen through an entire video for someone to get to the point and it's not what the video is about, that is disrespectful to the viewers time. With the shopping/amazon hauls, I used to enjoy some channels that seemed personable. Now all they do is try to sell us something. I purged so many channels...Now I pay attention to the ones that are genuine, and more importantly, relatable. I found a lovely young woman who lives in an old RV and shows her real every-day life. She is adorable, but so real. Not many subscribers but I prefer those kinds of channels now: Ashlynne Oswald.

I have a different take on the haul videos. I never felt the urge to go out and buy whatever they are showing. On the contrary, these haul videos took me back to when I was a kid in school and our family didn’t have a lot of money and we usually got mostly clothes for Christmas and maybe 2 toys. But going back to school after Christmas vacation and everyone would go on and on about what they got for Christmas. It always made me feel inferior and sad. Yeah, I know, at 70 years old I should be past that, but no, the haul videos bring all those inferior sad little girl feelings back to the surface. So I do not watch haul videos at all by anyone.
I will say that Covid did me a big favor by forcing me to buy online. So instead of wandering around in a store and just picking up random stuff. I don’t sit online just cruising Amazon all day, if I need something I buy it.

My mom used to always say, if you buy a new shirt, get rid of a shirt. If you buy a new home decor item, get rid of one, etc…Of course, if you can afford it but don’t add to what you have. I know what you mean about the hauls. I have often thought the same thing. What do they do with all that stuff. Even the clothes. I wonder if these places give them the item and ask them to do a YouTube and then they get rid of the items again. I don’t know.
