the trinity is a stumbling block to a lot of people including myself. until you substitute the name of God, YHWH, to every instance of the word God in the Athanasian creed. it is so eye-opening how simple it becomes and why we believe in the trinity. it is for this same reason that the titulus Crucis was an acrostic of YHVH above the holy cross; the high priests understood it, that's why they demanded pilate to change it. it is the Hebrew that mattered. for the same reason that although the jews say that the book of Esther does not contain the name of God, the first four words of Esther spells out God's name in Hebrew.

Man is made in the image and likeness of God, yet man is compound and made of parts. So is man just a part of God's simplicity? How can God's simplicity be divided? How can this be? Thanks.
