Could Angel have brought it in? No uninvited guests? Is it plastic? Does the yarn/ string have a scent to it? It seems really tiny. If it is scented, maybe to refresh cologne? Smelling salts?

AI says it is used for cleaning the ear pieces of a hearing aid. Cotton you squirt on some cleaning solution. Could that be it?

Dale, I am assuming that you did not have any visitors in the recent past who might have dropped it.
I sent your video to friends and family in Ireland and London, as well as folks in California and Alaska.
Is there a smell from the cotton/ wool?
