Honest question, wouldn't a planet so far from any star be so cold that life flourishing there seems close to impossible?

It's life Jim but not as we know it.

How though? Without a star providing heat? Maybe deep at geothermal vents or close to magma chambers. Even so it is incredibly unlikely that they'll harbor any sort of multicellular life

I’ve thought of this before. We always look for life thinking it has to be similar to our own. But as much of a meme it is, life finds a way. What if there are gas based creatures living somewhere on a rouge gas giant, that defy what we know about life.

Wow. Never heard of a rogue planet before. Space is weird and scary! Thanks teaching me something new.

Some scientist believe rouge planets might not be a rouge as you think. Many are thought to still be gravitationally locked to their home star, out in the furthest reaches of their home solar systems.

In my opinion, life is common in the universe, possibly even in our solar system, the idea that extraterrestrial life is non existant is absurd to me, the distances are truly insane however.

Now I think about it. They are the ideal spaceship.

It takes 9 billion years to travel our universe at the speed of light. With that mass there could even be more than 2 trillion rogues! We are such a little speck.

Somebody aught to assemble all those rogue planets and call them into order.

If rogue planets are essentially invisible except for gravity, and they're abundant, could they be the answer to the dark matter problem?

What If God made some planets just like a container for rhe elments he needed for us? like seasoning containers. These planets may have elements that make them habitable but they're not for that purpose. And then there are other planets that do have life on them

A planet far away from the only source of warmth … a sun. It couldn‘t beare life.

Imagine, if there’s another world that disappeared and when we die, that’s where we go? Cool maaaan 😊

If they're the rule, how can they be rogue? Lol.

Or maybe they're lifeboats for civilizations whose planets are doomed.

Wait, how could they be habitable if they are frozen due to no sun warming them. Maybe they’re habitable under the crust if they have a molten core, but is that really habitable if you’re having to live under the surface of the planet? With those rules, technically Mars and the moon are habitable.

How do they know there are 2 trillion 'rogue' planets if they can hardly see any at the moment because of our limitations of telescopes?
