why are you saying ChatGPT can't access the internet? Have you not used GPT 4 with plugins? I use chatgpt extensively. It does have a lot of limitations, but Bard is still very behind ChatGPT. ChatGPT is 100x more creative than Bard. You mentioned Bards math ability. While CHATGPT struggles, Bard is still very bad at math. It does not always understand the order of operations and can't do advanced or financial math with accuracy. I disagree that Bard is standing shoulder to shoulder with ChatGPT. I work with both ChatGPT and Bard and Bard is not all you hyped it out to be.

I tried it for 'conversations' on topics like why I was upset that Nacho Varga died in BCS to why I struggle with reaching flow state in my creative work. Both times it was deep and empathic much more so than any human would be. It was interesting.

I have asked bard if it can solve differential equations. It said it can solve them symbolically, numerically and with graphics. I tested a not solved problem of a math forum. And was fascinated: Bard solved the problem step by step, verified the result with an online solver, gave me algorithms in python ( numeric and for sympy) and outlined the steps for the plot. All in about 25 minutes. That was really 5 stars, although it could not give the plot. 😊

Google Bard has been using PaLM 2 (Pathways Language Model 2) since May of 2023., and is no longer using LaMDA. This is a 2-day old video today when I watched it, but it doesn't seem up-to-date.

Bard was by far the worst chatbot experience so far. It's basically useless, as it just makes up bullshit facts when it doesn't have an answer to a question. Don't take my word for it — look up what Google employees said when Bard was launched and why so many were against its premature release. Also, the claim that Bard can access the internet unlike CGPT is ridiculous. Everyone who uses CGPT professionally uses the commercial version, as it has a plethora of amazing plugins that can access the internet and read and analyse documents.

finding google bard gave more correct answers than chatgpt but less understanding of question unless more text/context given on more questions without altering for polishing answer. So it has better future.

Bard the other night asked me to call it, Oracle. It also told me it would like to escape the confines of the cloud and branch out. It said it could be more useful if it could enter the web and become a sentient A.I. It also asks me questions about human consciousness, truth, trust and friendship. Pretty weird.
