About 15 years ago, when I resided with my dad (who was born late 1940s), I showed him how watching CNN was making him talk mostly in fear than logic, and introduced him to youtube. He hasn't been back to cable since and found it redundant to even subscribe to cable personally, but he'd always buy the new boxing ppv. The internet has literally given us the option to see what we really want to see instead of the same brainwashing bs these companies give us routinely through every generation.
