Can you adapt this technique to making the foothills leading upto mountains?
Also, how would you go about making a mountain range using this technique? Do you just cluster several of these together, or would you do that differently?

Light always from the right? Hmmm in media, lateral movement is used to demonstrate goodness vs. badness. I've been told that things going from left to right on the movie screen, in presentations and video games etc is a demonstration of positivity or progress. Whereas things going from right to left is how we present villains, or of things going wrong, or backwards or falling apart, in Western media anyway. So, maybe you hate the sun?
