I Put My GoPro in a Lobster Trap! 😲 | New England Lobster Fishing |

On this episode, I put a GoPro in a lobster trap in May. The lobster pot was 20-25 feet down and I was honestly suprised to see how clear the video was and I can't believe how long the GoPro lasted in the cold water! It's amazing to see how quickly the lobsters and fish come over to investigate the trap.

Lovely clear water. It IS fascinating watching what goes on. I felt a bit bad for the lobster trying so hard to get at the delicious smelling fish but having so little luck. I figure it's only fair to get a nice meal before becoming a meal. Though I guess none of that happened on this occasion.
My father spent much of his young life on Nantucket. The family were in the fishing business. He never ordered lobster when eating out, or cooked it at home because he said "I ate it so much I am still sick of it". He did really like scallops still.

No, that wasn't the first lobster at the end. The first one was Wilber and he has an issue with the other, who is Jim, . Jim, and Wilber are half-brothers who will not get on the same side of a trap of one another. I know, because I was one of the pollack swimming by. Your welcome...blub, blub blub.

Lobster are like cats. They can squeeze through tiny holes you’d never think they could get through. Did you zip tie that Mack in there? Haha I thought I’d seen or used just about every bait setup going but that’s a new one for me

(Either way, I think you always want some sort of hanging bait. They love having exposed fish like that they can easily get at)
