Had a moment with this song. Went on a long bike ride (60 miles) and made a playlist to listen to but somehow only this and "Waiting" also by NTB were on it so I did the whole ride listening to those two songs on repeat. About an hour and a half into my ride it really hit me how I had been a junkie for years. I wasn't technically a junkie because I wasn't a heroin addict but I drank and smoked every day and basically that was my life. I was living like a junkie, and I had the mindset of one. I broke down in tears as I realized how selfish, stupid, and careless I had been, and how much time I had wasted and all the people I had hurt or walked away from. God used that moment to start steering me back to him, and this song is a connection to that moment for me. Thanks Needtobreathe.

For me this song is about God getting me through crystal meth withdrawal. The hardest time of my life but I stepped out onto the water and Jesus helped me and pulled me through the storm. Hallelujah

In 2017 when this song was released I was planning my first mission trip. With all the fears of going to the other side of the world for three years and being away from my family. Then he sang this song as a declaration and commitment of faith. At the end of 2020, while still on the mission field, my father died as a result of covid 19. I confess that my head is full of questions, although I am not angry with God. A few weeks ago this song came back to me this time as a promise from God that all this will not sink me and he will make me walk through the waters.

I literally cried the first few times I heard this song, replaying over and over. Listening to my life being sung and ALWAYS KNOWING THAT MY JESUS is my RESCUER and no matter what HE WILL NEVER LEAVE ME! I give HIM ALL THE GLORY and PRAISE, AMEN.
