Hi, (sort of) experienced player here.
I started with some random guy chancing video and left cooking food with autoplay on.
Came back to Ziz explaining "count" function on trade site. That just made my life so much easier.

One of the sneaky things I didn't understand for the longest time were the difference of noteables that says "% Increased damage" or "% More Damage". Pain Attunement probably being the most used example of this. A good explanation video of different explanations of how different wordings affect your scaling could be cool!

Not just gem level, gem quality is huge as well! I was struggling on my bfbb assassin, qual'd all my gems and the extra damage it provided allowed me to run t16 way more smoothly.

as a new player the most useful hints were those trade search one because i used to play on consoles now im on PC this helps a lot

Another good hint for beginners on bargain hunting - learn a bit about gear affixes, or more specificaly about local flat and percentage defence boosts. Sometimes an item that has some good suffixes, lots of life, stats, resists, but an absolutely shameful main defence number on it, can be transformed into something that will carry you to Sirus and beyond with a single craft, and often can be bought for less than 10 chaos. Flat increase, percentage increase, empty prefix, count 2.

I love these videos that really help new players i started in delirium league and did a WHOLE lot of research into the game just to make my own builds and i learned just how much click bait exists in the POE community with these build videos. Do 10000mil DPS speed clear (oh but u have like 2k life and need 100ex gear and well i turned on every possible config in POB)

One tip I would give too is that before you can get to the point where you oneshot everything, survability is actually a DPS boost ! :D

(another tip would be, check the map mod you rolled, for instance, if you're playing a phys build and you run a map with "monsters have +40% physical damage reduction", well it is pretty bad for your DPS)
