It's always interesting to see how much detail people notice in a song/video. Vocal coaches are mainly interested in the voice and stuff, producers and musicians in the melody and instrumentals and stuff, director and editor in the actual video footage, caring clip by clip what is going on. Then you have the casuals who just want to watch to have a good time and take up bits and pieces of everything

That shot where the chess pieces roll into each other is soo good cause its a king and queen piece but its of opposing colors (black and white) so it means they are always like fighting and not on the same side as a king and queen of the same color would be. More specifically its a black king (rosé) and white queen (the ex). So the queen rolling into the shot shows how the ex isn’t leaving her and she's showing herself as king so its like he (white queen) is always checkmating or fighting her and she can’t really do anything about it (since in chess the king can't really move much himself).

When she got notifications he turned it off to keep her to himself, away from others and Rosé saw his hand literally work fine means he just fake his fall so Rosie will stay beside him. That's a metaphor of possessive and manipulative.

Excellent breakdown. So much to unpack
I do think the statue shots serve a purpose in the story. The first one shows two people that look happy, setting up the shot of the two of them together. The second with the child's face alone cuts between two shots of Rose alone, and the weathering marks on the statue look like tears
