My husband and I expanded our kitchen by doing these types of storage areas. We slid the refrigerator back into the laundry room like this. I had a spice rack very similar to this. We also built in storage in the dining room by using the dead space behind the kitchen cabinets. They all made working in the kitchen a lot more functional. This is a very slick build and looks super.
