Come with me for a winter walk around my local woodland in South Yorkshire, UK and learn a little about each of the wild edible and medicinal plants and fungi that I found in my hours stroll.

Please remember to never eat any wild food unless you are 100% certain of its identification. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment :)

This is my first YouTube video so please do subscribe if you would love to learn more about the magic of plants!

Please remember to never eat any wild food, be it plant, fruit or fungi, unless you are 100% certain of its identity and always cross check your resources. Always do research before taking herbs internally, especially if you are pregnant, have severe allergies or a weakened immune system. Finally, remember to take only what you need from places of abundance, and always leave plenty for the wildlife too.

If you’d like to follow along for more foraging and forest garden content, you can join me over on;

Thanks for watching!

Thank you for showing the bay laurel tree. I didn't realise it grew outside of peoples gardens.. I don't eat by individual species anymore. i eat by relevance to what grows in the UK and re name it by what family it belongs to help me learn all of them as learning the families helps with botanical identification. So avacados and cinnamon is back on the menu thanks to you yay :)

Your knowledge is impressive and inspiring, whoever goes on a walk with you is in for an interesting day. Nettles may be nutricious by weight but you'd have to eat thousands to metabolize their nutrients. I don't think any of this is food, the most you can make is a side dish but I believe if you can't make a meal out of it then it's not food, at least not human food. I love your videos and I like the UK but I wish it was a tropical climate where fruit grows, real food. Imagine walking through the forest every morning and collecting jack fruits, durians, melons, grapes, mangos etc, the highest source of vitamins and minerals, doesn't require any processing, tools, cooking or identificaiton knowledge and you can easily make a single meal over 1000 calories, I'd love to eat 5 mangoes than a wheelie size bin of nettle leafs to get the same calories/nutrients.

One really great and useful channel from a European tightly connected with the Nature (as it should be for all Europeans!). Thank you, Danni!

Just discovered your channel. Your 'About' tab says you have a 640sqm allotment! Allotment envy, I 'only' have 136sqm in NW England.
As well as the foraging videos I would be interested in a overview of your allotment.

Also here because the algorithm's onto my foraging obsession!
How would you strip the needles from brambles? I'd like to see videos of stuff like this and how you actually process your harvests. Thanks for starting the channel, keep it up!
