I use this Scepter Water Can for Camping, and it does the job. It is nice to have something this durable for Emergency as well. Thank you @GrizzlyPath for the water spout idea!

I have used this adaptor on my other unmodified Scepter and it worked fine. I have had a few users use it and had trouble with it. Many others have had success. I'm not sure if the design was changed somehow, but just be aware of this. If you do the modification I did in the video, everything will work as it should and you can skip this part

I use a Fernco utility connector 1X1.5" for mine. No modifications needed. Part number: Fernco PUC-1510
It fits into the pump, then slips over the spout.

20 years in the Infantry and I learned today that the little cap fits on the breather 😂😂😂😂

I used my pocket knife to carve down the splines on the water pump to make it fit so I didn't have to modify my water cans, works great!

I have the exact same setup but I bought a 3rd-party adapter for the spout so no mods were necessary. Worked perfect on my summer camping trip

If using these types of containers for long term storage - do I need to add a few drops of bleach just in case ? Am I being overly concerned?

these cans leak if you lay them on their side with the lids secured? I want to do the exact same thing that you did with the water dispenser, but my water jugs will need to be stored on their side on top of my truck in the roof rack. Curious to know if leaking will be a concern when they are on their side during travels.

I've been using one of these in my camping setup, any ideas how to clean and sanitize the faucet and hose between uses? My hose got funky (mildew?) and I'm sure the faucet has as well. Thanks 👍

Hi. Thank you for the video. I have a couple thermoses that I have to mix half hot water half cold to create warm/hot water for various things. I am wondering if this kind of container and spigot would work? Can the spigot handle warm to hot water?
