My main man Fran -- I wanna captain Salah but I know I'll be spooked by Haaland being the most captained. He may not be the most captained on YouTube, but in terms of overall players, he will be the most captained. It's Scary Hours when Haaland bangs!

Without Odegaard, Haaland is even less likely to score against the Arsenal defense. These last two games, Arsenal has played extremely defensively, and when they take that stance, Haaland has little chance against Saliba/Gabriel.

I'm going Trent(C). Only other option is Diaz really as I don't fancy Haaland(C). Brought in Delap for Isak to fund a move for Saka next week. Fancy his pace on the transition vs SOU who will attempt to play out from the back again and probably dominate possession vs a more defensive IPS. Bailey's return was a welcome surprise after holding him since GW1, would be so clutch if he gets good minutes. Could be a big swing this week for me, hopefully in my favour, however cheering against a template Salah captaincy and hanging my hopes on Liam Delap and Banjostring Bailey might spell bad news. TTA eventual haul and Salah blank written in the stars 🤫 Good luck, Vardy solid pick, plays SOU GW8 too fitness and minutes abiding 👍

I'm loving the fact that Odegaard is injured as it works out in my favour massively! Around half of my Mini League consisting of 20 teams so about 10 or so have Havertz in their team alongside Haaland to cover the Arsenal fixtures and even with the great fixtures for Arsenal coming up can definitely see Arteta deploying Havertz into midfield more often and play Jesus as the Striker to cover the Odegaard position which is huge as Havertz won't be nearly as dangerous or as clinical in the midfield, sucks for Havertz owners, I'm not feeling it at all as a Saka owner however. Most won't catch onto Havertz not scoring as many points until its too late and they have a tough fixture run from GW10 GW11 and GW12. Havertz definitely a sell if he's going to occupy that midfield role instead, nowhere near as lethal as him being up front if you ask me!

Fran im sorry what did you say. Onana saved United last week 😂. He saved the penalty, apart from that he had absolutely nothing to do. The United defense has definitely improved from last season. Bit of a lazy take on your behalf

Hey Fran. I've been Salah-less since GW1. Planning to wildcard GW6. I really want Salah in this week, but since I still have Quansah, I'd have to replace Jota for Salah because of the 3 player cap. In that case, I need to get rid of Haaland. It would take me 3 transfers to do that and a -8 hit.
So, do you think -8 would be worth if my attack looked like this:
Son- Salah - Rogers - Eze
Watkins - Solanke - Mateta
I'm contemplating between that option and just replacing Muniz with Solanke and calling it a day.
That attack would look like this:

Son- Jota- Rogers - Eze
Watkins - Solanke - Haaland
(I would just lose the 1 free transfer in the latter case)
I know it's a bit of a long question, just curious on your thoughts on taking big hits like this.

Hi fran. Love the content. I've got a quick query and could do with some advice. Which 3 do i start out of porro, trent, robinson, lewis and greaves? Also who would you bench out of rogers, esr, eze and wood?

Hey Fran. If I'm bringing in Salah for Isak + a strong midfielder, would u recommend bringing in Ings as a bench striker or a 4.5 mil bench striker (I would only have 5.2 mill spare).

Our teams are similar with some key differences. I have Flekken & Areola in goal, plus Jota instead of Bruno and Tielemans instead of Rogers. Of course, Tielemans turns it on in Europe after 4 FPL blanks. Bizarrely, your rank is a fair bit better somehow. Maybe those Pedro points in gw3, which I benched.

I agree with Lewis on bench, tho I suspect his mins will be good going forward. I have just the one transfer and I would like to hold it so as to wildcard in gw6 with 2. That means ignoring Salah, Vardy, DCL etc and hoping for the best. Will prob play it safe with a Halaand captaincy. Spurs had chances v Arsenal and if City can replicate that....

Fran should I activate my wildcard straight after the gw5 deadline to get key players in (arsenal assets) to avoid price changes?

Also when will you be wildcarding?

My Wildcard is active and I could if I wanted go without Haaland for this & possibly next week & opt for Watkins & then bring Haaland into my team after City play Newcastle. Think I’ll just go with Haaland & then ideally role next couple of weeks and see how it goes. I don’t feel comfortable going without him again despite Watkins nice fixtures.

Great content as always. I only got 42 points last week with Haaland as alot of other players blanked and arsenal defenders did well. I'm gna roll or use my transfer to do Isak or João Pedro to Watkins/DCL as a 1 week punt as im wildcatding in GW6 aswell. Waiting on press conference news aswell.
