Samsung Galaxy A55 vs. Galaxy S23 FE: Really weird!

My thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy A55 vs. the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE...I like both of these phones a lot, and can see reasons for buying both. If you're a gamer or like that poppy display or need a little better performance, the S23 FE is for you...if you need battery life, bigger screen, overall nicer build, the A55 has definite advantages for less money.

I bought the A55 simply because I could not afford the S23 FE. But I'm happy and satisfied with what I bought. The A55 did not disappoint. That's what matters.

I used S23FE last year, my region had Exynos 2200 version, so I'm not missing it 😂. After S23FE I tried Iqoo 12, Poco X6 Pro, S24+ and today I'm using A55 12gb/256gb. S series has its perks, ( DeX, wireless charging, AI ) which I don't use / used once only, my needs was only the cameras, so when A55 had 90% value compared to S24+ with 70% cheaper price, I'm happy

Is the screen size of the S23fe the same size as the S10+ because they are both 6.4 without the bezels?

If you have to pay more for the S23 FE, I say no...if it's the same price...then it might be the better choice.

I ended up buying the S23 FE because I got a great price from Samsung for $427. I had concerns about the 8 gen 1 but I really needed a new phone and I cannot pay a flagship price. So, here are my thoughts: the processor does run hot when I use hotspot for my kids Kindles when we go out but has not any other time. It seems to cool down quickly too. I put it on power saving mode so I get thru the whole day without a problem. I am on my phone a lot on and off thru the day. Last negative is that it is a little heavy. I am not a camera expert so as long as I can take pictures of my kids I am happy. It has received the new AI features and updates quickly so far. Other than the heating issue with hotspot it has been working great.

I agree 💯 No way id pay 600 for the 23FE in this case id buy the A55. Imho they're both over priced the FE by 200 & the A55 by 100 bucks idk when Samsung is ever gonna get up & play right with all these other Android's? Our name can only carry us so long.

Delicious Steve, I really appreciate you pointing out things that nobody else does, like the unsaturated display of the A55 and how the pics turn out soft around the edges on the S23 FE. Nobody else is talking about these things. These are things that matter to me in making buying decisions.

I have a couple of requests. The first is this: Could you do a full camera comparison between the S23 FE and the A55? The second is this: Could you purchase an A35 and compare it to the A55? Like is it more saturated than the A55, and how do the pics compare. I'm like you, I like the flashy and saturated colors. I'm trying to decide between those three, and I plan on keeping the one I buy for at least 4 years. Thanks!

Does the software sensor work without problems on Samsung, because I hear Xiaomi has problems because it does not have a hardware sensor. Does the same thing exist in Samsung, or does Samsung provide a software sensor that works without problems, specifically on the S23FE? Because the S23fe is a software sensor, please reply. Does the software sensor in Samsung work without problems whether it is connected and listening to audio or in the pocket?

The A55 is officially not avail in my country, but I was able to look at one in a small phone shop and I can tell you that it's a nice handset as far as design is concerned, however it's a big heavy beast! It also cost over $500- Cdn + sales tax. For less $ I was able to get the S23 fe with the Snapdragon chip and it's a manageable size. It is also much faster than the A55, over 50%, but what I really needed is a phone with wireless charging and an actual optical zoom lens and the S23fe delivers. My brother has the vanilla S23 and both handsets share the same cameras and many other features. I have the lime green 8/128 and for the money I still cannot find a better phone in my local market.

honestly really cool video and surprised I found such a down to earth approach to this. looking between these two phones and just seeing if it's really worth it to pay significantly more for s23 fe. kinda disappointed about the camera thing, optical zoom had me considering but those more fuzzy images honestly, not the greatest fan either

I sold my s21 fe to a friend last Friday since I needed more storage. I went for the a55 since I couldn't afford the s23 fe and I extremely happy with this phone. You might not believe me but It feels way premium and the performance is literally the same as with the s21 fe. The only think I miss from the s21 fe though is the camera. The rest is just incredibly smooth Great phone !!!

Awesome video! Please weigh in- Brand new A55 or pristine S22ULTRA for just under 200USD more? (From a legit online store with a one year warranty).

I don't game and no social media (unless you count YT) But battery life is a big priority for me .

I get battery anxiety lol, I'm using an S7 that I got used 2 years ago and the battery is kaka. I get 4 hours on power saving mode.

The A55 has IP67, the S23 FE has IP68.

The A55 even has a 12GB RAM option, not available on the S23 FE.
