Psychology undergrad and double masters in counseling and social work. Love what I do but the pay is normally @100k or less. Macro pays more but private practice pays more often times.

While I do agree that Music isnt the best if you want to be rich. If you are trying to be a classical musician then a music degree is generally necessary however its less about the degree but rather who you study with at the school. There are stable salaried positions to gwt with a music degree such as professor or twacher. Id also like to specify there are different kind of Music degrees. For example theres Music Performance which is focused on being a performer Theres music education which is focused on being a Band Director(which you do need to become one) Theres Music Comp which is focused on composition. For many orchestras and mikitary band positions they wont look at your application to audition if you don't at least have a bachelor.
Tldr : There is purpoze to a degree but only get it if youre truly passionate about it.

I have a CS degree. Burnout is very common as a programmer. Pay is good, but not as good as he makes it sound. Also, there is concern that AI will eliminate some of the jobs out there.

he wasnt really right about maths, if you did a pure maths degree a lot of companies will hire you to calculate stocks. My cousin did raw maths and now he works at a stock place earning half a mil p.a.
