New Yorkers react to recent violent incidents

The recent rash of violent incidents on the New York City subway, along with other high-profile crimes across the city has left some residents on edge. FOX 5 NY's Lisa Evers spoke with New Yorkers about their concerns on crime.

I strongly doubt that the suspect who shoved and murdered that straphanger onto the subway tracks paid $2.90 to get into the subway system where he most likely jumped the turnstile and as a matter of fact, one of his many prior arrests was for fare evasion.
If you stop fare evasion, you mitigate crime in the subway. It's that simple! The fact that the MTA has not yet implemented a solution to the fare evasion problem across all stations is ridiculous.

Ok..i dont get this...u say 125th cops is patrolling and clearly on video u have upset people cause they cant jump the turnstile so thats some of the problem right there..in that station but at the end of the video shorty says the cops here is jus a temporary thing. Smh.i swear...the mayor has no brains.

My personal opinion is that if crimes get worse after worse on the subway City law makers including the Governor will *eventually* throw in the towel and decide to give citizens like the guardian angels full rights and authority to stop crime and as a deterent.
