Bell Towers!
Sometimes high tower-like constructions, being landmarks of areas, others simple and humble, they are scattered in the city of Corfu, emphasizing the long-standing relationship of the inhabitants with religion. Their morphological and typological characteristics are rich! Many of them are reminiscent of the relationship of Corfu with the West and the influence that the artistic currents which developed there had in Corfu architecture, while there are also those that follow a local architectural tradition.
In the video that follows we recorded the most characteristic bell towers in the city of Corfu.
Καμπαναριά!
Άλλοτε υψίκορμες πυργοειδείς κατασκευές, αποτελώντας ορόσημα περιοχών, άλλοτε απλά και ταπεινά, βρίσκονται διάσπαρτα στην πόλη της Κέρκυρας υπογραμμίζοντας τη μακραίωνη σχέση των κατοίκων με τη θρησκεία. Πλούσια τα μορφολογικά και τυπολογικά τους χαρακτηριστικά! Πολλά από αυτά υπενθυμίζουν τη σχέση της Κέρκυρας με τη Δύση και την επιρροή που ασκούσαν τα καλλιτεχνικά ρεύματα που αναπτύχθηκαν εκεί στην κερκυραϊκή αρχιτεκτονική, ενώ δε λείπουν και αυτά που ακολουθούν μια τοπική αρχιτεκτονική παράδοση.
Στο βίντεο που ακολουθεί καταγράψαμε τα χαρακτηριστικότερα καμπαναριά στην πόλη της Κέρκυρας.
