Rule the Waves places you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' during the early years of the 20th Century. You manage the naval affairs of your chosen nation while navigating between the desires and demands of your own government, the efforts of potential adversaries, and the affairs of your potential allies.

The battle resolution mechanics are based upon our successful Steam and Iron (SAI) system for combat but technichal, economic and foreign policy decisions will also be necessary as the player guides their navy's design, construction, deployment and operations during a period of great technological innovation and political tensions.

Historians studying the "year one war" Between Great Britain and France found a amusing signal in the logs of a early battle "HMS Renown to French fleet, sorry to say we have ran out of shells and must depart to pick up some more, we shall endeavor to return with outmost dispatch to resume hostilities"

Remember, it's not that you're surrounded. It's merely that you're in a target rich environment.

I think the amount of people submitting is a testament to your continued increase in subs, no antics approach to gaming, and willingness to interact with your community. Good job sir!

The 6 in guns were penetrating your deck extended mainly. If you had looked at the logs they never really penned your armor, except where the armor was weak near the engine room and what not.

No captain can do very wrong if he places his ship alongside that of the Horatio Nelson
So your motto is in the finest tradition of the Service

46:15 They were probably hitting you in the superstructure, which has no armour. The flotation damage will just have been that one torpedo.

This episode of Rule the Waves was brought to you by World of Warships and its game mechanics!
:p

I do think your motto should really only apply when both fleets have comparable numbers. The risk to lone, precious BBs is way to great to risk them to possible freak accidents.

9:25 It updates income and expenses before it updates available funds. Since ships finished building, you were no longer paying for them, and the money that would have been spent on them was added to the treasury instead.

Just an FYI, the port of Tortuga was on an island off the coast of (and I believe part of) Haiti. If my sleep addled brain remembers, it sunk into the ocean in the 1800s.

Greetings Lord Admiral Tortuga, it has been a while! Things have not been well with me so I was very glad to see you starting up a new RtW series. As always, your content is great even when you are under the weather!

I have already submitted for my commission as officer candidate, and I gladly await my orders.

I think I found out what the issue with your funds was at the start. Almost every month you got events that reduced the construction time of at least one ship by a month. Most of the time it was 2-3 ships and it just kept going . Even the time you got more than expected was, I think, due to the delay in construction of 2 ships. The reason I think this is that the amounts that differed from your monthly funds matched up the cost/month of the ships.

thx for the new series :)
hope u get well sooner then later mate :)

u might hv figured out by now, but the monthly balance is actually showing u ur current monthly balance instead for your next month's monthly balance. so whenever u click turn, the numbers will change after all the events happening and new ships being commissioned. The commissioned ships dont require the same level of money for maintenance than of construction, which skyrockets ur monthly balance.

one of the reasons I put heavy guns in secondaries in lieu of a midships turret or cross deck configuration is that secondaries do not run out of ammo. Keeps my Battleships and Armored Cruisers in the fight a lot longer than they would otherwise.

14:10 "When does the Pacific become the Indian Ocean?" Definitely somewhere near South Africa. Definitely.

is anyone else loving the fact that while Tortuga is sick he also has to deal with a bug in the game?
