Flex is a stronger drill. Although I am surprised the Flex did it with a 3.5. Milwaukee will not with a 3.5, but put on a Forge 6 and it really does transform that little Milwaukee and it'll do it no sweat.

Not being a know it all, at all. But pistol grip drills have enough torque to damage your wrist as it is. I’d rather use a right angle drill for something like that.

I work with a guy that runs flex tools. They work just fine, honestly. For the price, they are great. But they fall short of dewalt and milwaukee (and snap on, but fukk them). I'd say get flex, if you're confident on them around in 10 years.

The drill definitely wasn’t used properly. Clutch set to drill, and gearbox set to 1 for the correct torque output. I’ve used them a bunch without issues.
