Jack Dempsey created the Dempsey roll which is similar to Mike Tysons Peekaboo boxing style

Great video - There’s also some huge added factors that significantly increase power. Grip strength in the pinky, specifically on impact. A good way to test this is on a mattress. The second one is wrist strength and how well your wrist can take intense strain.

I snapped my 5th metacarpal in half when I was 16 years old landing a punch with my pinkie knuckle, punching like that leads to boxers fractures.

Thank you very much. This type of speech is really needed, so people don't see the Palestinian victims only as statistics, but as human beings that have stories and feelings.
My The Almighty brings the justice soon, Amin 🤲

Jack Dempsey also created a book for the US army in close combat and it could be the first quasi MMA book he shows chokes, takedowns, joint locks, headbutts everything you could imagine. He learned this because he was a hobo at 13 years old and had to learn how to fight grown men to stop being SA’ed he also worked in the mines and had to fight to make enough money to eat. A truly amazing man and boxer.

Watch him fight Jim Osulivan outweighed by 40lbs and he breaks his jaw, orbital, cheekbone and 3ribs in 3 rounds with 11 knockdowns one of the most savage fights in history 🥊✊🏻💯

Another thing of note is that in Jack Dempseys days the padding in boxing gloves were drastically different to the gloves of today which used to to consistently lead to hand breaks which i think even further confirms Dempseys point of knuckle alignment

Too bad we lost Rumble so early ! It would have been a blessing to see them both go at it.

Talking about the powerline and punching with the last 2 knuckles, which is wild. Wrist alightment, like in tma, makes a difference. I think fist orientation on hooks, vert vs hor makes a difference. With hooks, I honestly think when they scrape the face, they're most effective because of the angle that they torque the head/neck at 1:41

I thought that this was gonna be about the fact that he stepped on Jamal's leg when throwing that punch.

But nah the dude just hits hard naturally there's no ''Secret'' behind it.

Make a fist then stick out your index finger like your pointing at something, now make a fist again without resetting your wrist. Thats always felt the best and hardest for me. I know its not likely but i would love to hear what you have to say about it firas..

I always wonder why people say the top 2 knuckles are aligned with the forearm. They blatantly aren't unless your throwing a straight horizontal punch.

Now im thinking he just ended up his fights with a short hook. We never saw he throwing a direct hit with his left. Imagine the power of this shit

Is it true that you’re more likely to break your hand if you punch with the bottom 2 knuckles? What if he missed the cheek bone and hit his forehead?

So somewhat similar to the mechanics of a wing Chun vertical punch?

He’s one of the greatest larger kickboxers - Nadaka Yoshinari, Tenshin Nasakawa, Andy Sauer, Nicky Holzken, & many many more are dramatically more accomplished & technically skilled kickboxers. Perreira is a legend and has the Dim Mak though 🗿🦾

Why you talk about GSP fighting in 2024. We have an actual superfight to talk about: Aspinal.
First ever trying to go triple champ

Just a mix of leverage, bone density, fast twitch muscle fibre and good form I guess. Not being funny but you can tell the guy can crack just by taking one look at him 😂
