What's kinda dumb is I bet if they lowered the prices of the cosmetics they'd actually get even more from micro transactions. I feel like lowering the ceiling to get them would make people waver more over whether or not to buy a mount, or set. I'm not into marketing I just get a gut feeling people would be like "hmmm... 5 bucks why not?...eh it's just another 5 bucks for this too". I'd rather them not have microtransactions but I'm just saying, if they're dead set on them lol.

They would make so much more money in MTX if the shop prices weren’t specifically designed for Whales only. I refuse to spend any extra money, I’ve even refused to pay for any season passes because there is genuinely no point. I don’t wish to support scummy pricing :/

I know it don’t mean much but I’m happy with myself I never spent anything over the initial price of the game. Battlepass and cosmetics didn’t sit right with me in a game that is about finding loot and using transmogs. My character might not be looking the coolest compared to some but my wallet is fatter.

How much of that 150m is from the battle pass though? That's a lot more work and probably a significant amount of it. It's not just paying for over priced skins.

it's pretty much passive revenue. the game is already made, they make skins, people buy them, and it just keeps rotating, i mean i bet fallout 76 has made a killing on the atom shop

I must admit, I'm guilty of spending some extra cash for battlepasses, but I said no to anything else. I already got a few hundread hours worth of content and more to come in the future, so I don't have a problem spending some light money for a live service game that provides continuous good updates every few months.

I wonder how much of that mtx is battlepass related? I've played like three full seasons, didn't pay for a single battlepass (just turned in my free passes from initial purchase and the expansion)

D4 lost me when they started trending towards D3 2.0.. I'm sad, but hopeful for D5 and maybe a new company that can get ahold of it and actually make it good 😊
