it works but I want to point out that new budget phones by xiaomi are lacking basic features like app opening animations, split screen and few more features and it hurts the users who purchased those phones in 2020 or 2021 as those phones had all of these features but were later removed by updates

For people with no app hide option use this trick ⚡. (Recommend for games😅) Remember it only works for MI android, Xiaomi and Redmi Steps
1.open security
2. Scroll down on common features
3. Open game turbo
4.choose your game/app
5. Touch the settings button in top right corner
6. Touch general settings and there should be "remove added games from home screen"
Then 🎉 i hope it helps 😊
