Mihoyo keeps making super hard event levels, but refuses to put any rewards behind it. It needs to change to get players excited about that type of content in game!

Or earn a unique reward that proves to everyone else that you beat the event. Maybe a banner or a avatar and maybe a skin.

a Namecard would be nice, a badge of honor or just a flex letting people know you cleared the hardest difficulty event

If they give a lot of books, or other resources other than primos I'd be okay with that. Primos are already scarce to come by and abyss for new players is so far out of their reach that they're missing chunks of primos. Make primos easily accessible within the first few levels/challenges, with larger miscellaneous rewards for harder/hardest content I think would be best.

Its kind of a double edge sword. If the majority of players can't beat the content to get the rewards people will cry foul. Then Mihoyo has to nerf the content in question. We've seen this with the boss fight for childe. To those reading this who weren't there when his fight was first added to the game, Childe was the hardest boss, and people couldn't get past him in the story so after a day or so he was nerfed. The fan base is actually divided when it comes to difficulty of the game. When the game gets too hard people say Mihoyo is catering to whales who have a truck load of damage, and when its too easy they're catering to casuals.
Mihoyo is pretty much in a tough spot when it comes to designing the game difficulty.

They honestly need to add an extension to the spiral abyss(with additional floors) that give people better rewards but increase difficulty. Something like the vagabond event. It will provide end game content and the f2p won’t get hit as hard.

The no reward for that final labyrinth sucks. Like imagine going to a carnival and spending an hour doing a game PERFECTLY and all you get is a thumbs up in the end from the guy running the stand and no stuffed animal.

same thing with elysia realm, difficulty 150 requires extreme luck and gear + investment on a character, but you only get 500 crystals after completing it, 500 in honkai is not even 2 pulls

I agree. The rewards are seriously a joke. They need rewards that actually stay consistent to the difficulty. I personally, like doing hard content and it would definitely be nice to get a reward that isn't an easy reward. This is pretty much already in a lot of MMO games I've played before.

they should give pins or “trophies” that goes with the character like a seelie pet… it’s a visual thing but it’s a nice start to reward players for their hard work

For the new event I think Mihuyo made it intentionally for the spenders so that they could not 1 shot everything and if they put a reward there the community would just end up saying that genshin is P2W.

Man I didn't know that the last dungeon in the event gave nothing, I did with only bennett and xingqiu when my other characters all died

(it was painful)

Imagine if we had this hard content which you can do solo or try in Coop with two buttons - (I need help to complete) and (I want to help somebody) So hardcore and whale players could help new or weak people.
