I'm not much of a gamer but my husband passed in 2018. I had bought him Red Dead Redemption II. I looked and he had completed 16% of it when he passed. I decided to finish it for him. I grieved and played this game. Fueled by hot fries, Dr Pepper and tears, it was therapeutic. At times i was so angry and taking necessary people out was rewarding. LOL.
I became so attached to Arthur. When he passed, it devastated me but I was thankful for the journey, just like with my husband.
These songs have such special meaning to me. I'll never forget those 2 months of playing and grieving. I finished the game in honor of my husband Ory. I never would have thought I would be attached to a game but I am this one. It's really a beautiful work of art. ❤

This song perfectly fits Arthur, I'm not gona list all lines but the most important ones,
"The many miles we walked" refers to Arthur staying with Dutcg for a long time, "only just to burn" working so hard, only to come to a rough end. "All in your command" refers to the loyalty Arthur had to Dutch. " that's the way it is" can refer to Arthur finally accepting his fate and doing the last good in life which was to help jhon escape and be free. This song is amazing

Arthur felt like my best friend throughout the game. He just had such a well built story and it felt like I was in that time with him worried and excited about the things that would happen. In fact he is now my favourite character in any game I have ever played and I thank Rockstar for that. R.I.P Arthur Morgan 1860 - 1899

I watched my friend die on that cliff.
My friend... who i tried to show a better way of life.
A way where giving, instead of taking, would be more rewarding. But in the end, i was the one who suffered.
I was the one who cried as he drifted off into that sunset. His final ride. Where i no longer be able to ride with him.
I lost a part of myself that day.
He taught me just as much as i tried to teach him.

I miss my friend.

Man I felt my heart shrinking when I saw him laying on the floor watching the deer at the sunset... I felt so empty and didint want to continue the game without him!!
