An interesting fact about the superflat is that in a Xbox 360 version of Minecraft the Nether was superflat too, and was surrounded by bedrock walls. This meant that that version was impossible to beat without spawning in a blaze.

FUN FACT: in “legacy” bedrock edition (might only be on playstation consoles) the nether would also be comepletely flat, just like the overworld and was just 3 layers of netherrack and bedrock at the bottom
