Two occupants of a small plane were injured Sunday after making an emergency landing on the California State Northridge campus. The six-seater, single-engine Cessna 206, departed from Novato, California bound for John Wayne Airport. The plane attempted to land on the university's soccer field after losing power, but ended up crashing through a chain link fence and overturned near the intersection of Plummer Street and Zelzah Avenue. The pilot and the passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. No students or buildings on the ground were endangered.
