I SAW NESSIE 🦕🏔 Loch Ness, Inverness & Urquhart Day Trip

🇬🇧 Dear Burghies,

On the 13th of October, I went to a very exciting trip organised by the ESNE (Erasmus Student Network Edinburgh) through the IST (International Student Trips). It was the Loch Ness and Inverness Day Trip!

We started off the day by seeing Highland cows, which was incredible because they're my friend's favourite animal, so I could send her pictures (unfortunately, I didn't manage to get her on the phone, at least this time ;)). We even had their favourite snacks to feed them. We then made our way to the city of Inverness, which is quite the drive from Edinburgh, as it's located further north. We went to the Victorian Market and toured the city a little, then we took the road again to reach Fort Augustus for lunch. In the middle, we had a few stops to see the most famous Loch Ness Statue, and Urquhart Castle. The Loch Ness was such a pretty landscape, and I was happy I got to see it during my trip! We finished the day at Spean Bridge, where I got to buy (surprise) souvenirs for my family.

Once arrived in Edinburgh, we stopped by Uplands Roast. They're known for their signature hot chocolate, which was so comforting after this long day!

Le 13 octobre, j'ai participé à un voyage très excitant organisé par l'ESNE (Erasmus Student Network Edinburgh) par l'intermédiaire de l'IST (International Student Trips). C'était l'excursion d'une journée au Loch Ness et à Inverness !

Nous avons commencé la journée en voyant des vaches Highland, ce qui était incroyable car c'est l'animal préféré de mon amie, donc je pouvais lui envoyer des photos (malheureusement, je n'ai pas réussi à la joindre au téléphone, du moins cette fois-ci ;)). Nous avions même leurs collations préférées à leur donner. Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigés vers la ville d'Inverness, qui est assez loin d'Édimbourg, car elle est située plus au nord. Nous sommes allés au Victorian Market et avons fait un peu le tour de la ville, puis nous avons repris la route pour rejoindre Fort Augustus pour le déjeuner. Au milieu, nous avons fait quelques arrêts pour voir la célèbre statue du Loch Ness et le château d'Urquhart. Le Loch Ness était un si joli paysage, et j'étais heureuse de pouvoir le voir pendant mon voyage ! Nous avons terminé la journée à Spean Bridge, où j'ai pu acheter des souvenirs (surprises) pour ma famille.

Une fois arrivés à Édimbourg, nous nous sommes arrêtées chez Uplands Roast. Ils sont connus pour leur chocolat chaud signature, qui était si réconfortant après cette longue journée !
