Actually the trunk space of the Polestar 2 is way better than in the Model 3. Please don't just compare numbers on paper. In the real world that is such a huge difference.

Quite a bit of this seemed biased...I take delivery of my Polestar 2 this week, and I have had a home charger installed. This, it's muscular looks, and lovely interior made it my first choice, after driving several other EV's including Teslas. My husband has the Taycan, and I expect he will want to borrow my Polestar 2 sometimes, just for it's looks alone.

After all, you should reasonably be able to download a music app. Which is surely better than transferring music from the phone using Bluetooth. especially a cars does not support the best Bluetooth codecs such as LDAC or APTX HD . You most likely can't get Dolby Atmos from Apple Music or Tidal with Bluetooth

Your review is far more helpful than almost any other, even if I don't completely agree with your conclusions. I prioritise FUN, and handling, and, to me, nothing comes close. It has way more range than I need, and good seats, and I like the looks. And ... it's FUN. Punch it all the way through a curve -- FUN! Punch it on a muddy road -- FUN! A nice balance front to rear, and you can feel it.
Thank you!
I commented on your review of the XC40 EV, when you stomped it from a stop on a gritty side road. It just goes - FUN, and real world driving.

The issue with the model 3 is that it's a sedan - that reduces it's practicality quite a lot. The id3 is smaller, weaker and rear wheel drive - again, worse for those who have a use for all wheel drive (winter driving). As for the range - the Perf.Pack wheels actually reduce both it AND acceleration. Furthermore, the range should have been improved after the newest update. This car also has an instrument cluster, a proper interior and, hopefully, won't lose windows or bumpers while driving.

I chose the Polestar 2 over the Skoda Enyaq, Ford Mach-e and Tesla M3, for a few reasons. 1. It looks a lot better and unlike anything else on the road. In other words, it isn't just another SUV!
2. The rear hatch is far more practical for my needs than the boot of a Tesla (Model Y not in UK at time of posting)
In addition, I found at 6'2", I had plenty of room in the driver's seat and did not feel cramped and did not find any edges hard or sharp getting in and out, as highlighted in some reviews.
I also found the build quality and the fact that Polestar have not gone down the route of vinyl seats, calling it "vegan leather", but have given a great deal more thought and creativity by using recycled materials and quite rightly, called it a Vegan interior. Overall, I was just so much more impressed by the Polestar 2 than any other EV available to me. As for range, I do anything from 150 to 200 miles every day, with multiple stops and so, I will very rarely have to use a public charger. Therefore, range is not an issue.

Balanced review - thanks for that. The Polestar has - Better access to boot space. Better quality cabin. Better design. Just weigh those up against better charging and range on the Tesla. Personally I don't make that many 200 miles in a day trips and I don't mind taking my time over a coffee if I do need to charge when away from home. Interior quality, lack of noise, comfort and coming out to see a better looking car are my preference. That is why I have a Polestar2 on the way and not a Tesla. Really, although reviewers can say this, it is almost impossible to buy a duff EV.

Great video thanks. Lots of very good points. Loving my Polestar 2 and wouldn't trade it for anything after testing the model 3, id3, kias etc. Suits us perfectly but not for everyone and the other options are really strong..

Without doubt a better looking car than a Tesla Model 3, the Tesla reminds me of an early 2000s Ford Mondeo from the front ! Polestar 2 looks premium from the outside and inside, the ride quality of the Tesla Model 3 is not so good and creates more general noise, comfort and quietness wins everytime in my books but when you add on looks and build quality there's only one winner here and it's the Polestar 2.

But if I was in the market for an EV of a similar size I would go for the new Volvo C40 as I much prefer the rear end looks over this Polestar 2 and to be honest the two cars will be almost identical under the skin anyway !

Great review from a great reviewer. Thank you! The Polestar2 is my favorite EV… I have the 2023…spec’ed like this except with ventilated seats…and Napa leather.
After having a Model 3 and Model Y, this is just a pleasure in regard to fit and finish, and a luxury feel.

The 19" wheels have been claimed to be quieter, again it also depends on the tires as well, manufacturer dependant.

My friend says removing the sticker on the side of the car invalidates the warranty

I didn't hear what color this one was specifically?

For anyone doing reviews with Google products. Please refrain from saying 'Hey Google' so everyone watching doesn't then have to yell at their own devices to cancel command.

You may wish to consider using a better quality (noise cancelling) microphone, as this excellent review is somewhat marred by the intrusive birdsong throughout the video.

Front brakes take care of 70% of stopping power, so having big brakes on the back as well is fairly pointless.

Chris - just found you. Huge compliments on your presentations. What a bright young man you are, how you manage to put out all the facts and figures without a script is impressive. Look forward to your review of the Ioniq 5 / EV6 which will offer the best value out of all ev's.

If you want better sound quality than spotify then you should probably not transfer the music with Bluetooth Spotify uses AAC As I understand their web page

I've literally watched every english speaking polestar video and must say that yours in detail and information is among the top 3. The camera and audio quality is very good as well, congrats.

I've been interested in the polestar ever since it came out and went for some test drives pre-covid lockdowns. You touched on the same observations I too held. Why no head up display, the centre console is ridiculously large, exterior colours are on the bland side and the performance pack in my opinion is a £5k upgrade not for performance but looks.

But aside from these I think its a fantastic car, yeah range isn't great but then again I don't do distance. I was cross shopping against a used jaguar I pace, love the exterior design however overall I still prefer the polestar. I guess I'm just waiting for the cheaper versions that polestar promised and are yet to announce to be revealed
