First half is done. Croatia never had a song so hyped up; everybody loves this down-to-Earth guy. However, there is a lot of politics in voting for the best Eurosong. I think, this time juries will not be able to ignore what people love; entire arena was dancing. Croatia has over a million ex-pats all over Europe. They are going to be the deciding factor to tip the scales in Marko’s favour.
Baby Lasagna entered Dora qualifying competition as a reserve; because someone else dropped out. Real Cinderella story.
The song is about young people leaving their home (and immigrating to other countries; 400, 000 in 10 years) in search of a better life, and anxiety it creates. Yet, the song is lighthearted; the energy unbelievable. It was written, and produced solely by Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) in his room in Umag, small town, Croatia. He writes songs (over 200) & books too. First time performing as a singer on a big stage, Marko did great; people of Croatia reacted and gave him the greatest margin of victory ever.
