Has this been updated recently? I can’t install gedit with the apt install gedit-y. Nor can I find my bashrc 😩

For this error what can be done

(gedit:2682): Tepl-WARNING **: 12:02:13.598: GVfs metadata is not supported. Fallback to TeplMetadataManager. Either GVfs is not correctly installed or GVfs metadata are not supported on this platform. In the latter case, you should configure Tepl with --disable-gvfs-metadata.

1. Login to the root account
2. Open file manager
3. Go to root tab or main root folder (/root)
4. Ctrl + H
5. Now all the hidden files will be visible
6. There will be a file named .bashrc
7. Open it using any editor
9. You will notice some lines like this:

# You may uncomment the following lines if you want `ls' to be colorized:
# export LS_OPTIONS='--color=auto'
# eval "`dircolors`"
# alias ls='ls $LS_OPTIONS'
# alias ll='ls $LS_OPTIONS -l'
# alias l='ls $LS_OPTIONS -lA'

10. Uncomment all lines( remove the hastags) starting from "export..." to "alias | .."
The result should be like this:

# You may uncomment the following lines if you want `ls' to be colorized:
export LS_OPTIONS='--color=auto'
eval "`dircolors`"
alias ls='ls $LS_OPTIONS'
alias ll='ls $LS_OPTIONS -l'
alias l='ls $LS_OPTIONS -lA'

11. Don't uncomment other lines! Uncomment only what I mentioned.
12. Save the file
13. Now open the terminal and press ls. All the files, folders will be coloured!!
