Definitely Makita if you put it’s own battery on it

I've run them both side by side 1000 3.5" screws, the 850 & the xtd16. Run the old makita 5.0 batteries on it in prosper drive mode, #4 against the 850with power stack, the makita wins.

I love the 850 sometimes you don't need all the beans. Nice work.

Size of the 850, and the proformance. Thats a win all day.

Dewalt is quicker by tenths. I used to HATE Dewalt, but I've grown into whoever makes a good tool gets my money. Makita is my prefered brand, and the xdt16 is my favorite impact, but yeah, the 850 gets it by a hair.
Makita- 3.02sec
Dewalt- 2.87 sec

dewalt for size and the not need for an adapter that potentially damages the tool because dewalt has theyr battery saving tech in the tool not the battery don't know about makita might just be the perfect match but still the 850 just so gentle and so powerful I love it

Run the makita with a makita battery 🔋 not a dewalt stacked lithium

Got both, makita is much better. Xdt19 is even better.

Makita is almost as bad as Dewalt. Too many versions of impact driver. Its very convoluted

Dewalt. 1800+ inch pounds and that size, you cant beat it. But, Dewalt, Makita and Milwaukee are all top notch.

How do you make a tool win? Especially if the footage of it driving the fastener is unedited

The funny part to me is he knows the only way the 20v Dewalt has a chance vs Milwaukee is vs the 12v 🤣 that didn’t fall on deaf ears. Any time I hire guys on that have their own tools and show up with Dewalt……..they end up using my milwaukees and convert to Milwaukee. I don’t force them to. They see the difference themselves. When you use these tools side by side every day in construction it becomes undeniable who the winner is

who knows you used a dewalt battery on a makita, no ones gonna go buy a makita impact then buy dewalt batteries,

Meanwhile 3 screws later the dewalt is 175°F lol and 2 bars down on power 🤣

Makita is the silent killer. Milwaukee has to keep renovating to keep relevant but just let their tools do the talking. Makita is the tried and true. Confident in their consistency with what they already have in their arsenal
